Ballistic glass is a system in which glass and polymer layers work together. Siper Glass approaches the build of that system project by project: the threat definition, platform constraints, geometry, optical and weight targets are defined together with the customer.
Assessing standard requirements
Depending on the project specification, requirements from standard families such as EN 1063, UL 752, STANAG 4569 or NIJ are used as the reference. Conformity of a build to a given class is demonstrated within the project, with test documentation from accredited laboratories where required.
Options assessed
- Builds with or without a polycarbonate layer
- Flat or curved form
- Additional functions such as heating, screen printing and tint
Technical values and conformity documents are shared only within the relevant project and subject to confidentiality obligations.
