Siper Glass is an engineering-solutions brand focused on defence and high-security applications. In armoured vehicle and platform projects, the protection need, conditions of use, geometry, optical expectations and weight targets are addressed separately for each project.

The required protection class may be defined by a standard such as EN 1063, UL 752, STANAG 4569 or NIJ. Once the layer build has been defined together with the customer, conformity is demonstrated per project, with test documentation from accredited laboratories where required. These standards are not a company certification; they are the requirement framework a project refers to.

Curved vehicle glazing

Windscreens and side windows of armoured vehicles are often curved in one or two axes. In such applications, how the plies follow the same geometry, the optical requirements for the driver's view and the mounting details on the vehicle body are defined together at the start of the project.
